Under the limited supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor this position performs all phases of complex accounting functions including fiscal interpretation and analysis requiring full professional competency
Job Duties:
- Responsible for accrual corporate financial statement preparation, including statement of cash flows.
- Process cash receipts, work with cash payments and receipt journals, payroll journals and prepare general journal entries.
- Reconcile corporate bank statements.
- Responsible for preparation of cost accounting reports including detailed analysis of time sheets, cash payments and receipts journals and payroll journals.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Must have working knowledge of depreciation tax rules and methods and personal property affidavit preparation
- Implement new accounting systems when necessary.
- Perform all related duties for Taft-Hartley Trusts using cash accounting methods for cross training purposes on an "as needed" basis.
- Process corporate and contract payroll when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum qualifications:
- 5-6 years of experience in a computerized accounting system. Or 3 years as an Accountant Senior within WPAS
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Proven track record of positive interpersonal communications with internal and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
- Proven ability to accurately and timely review and edit documents.
- Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
- Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- BA in Business
- 3 years of experience accounting experience within a TPA environment
